WAMS is pleased to announce its support of the FIA’s Women in Motorsport Committee (WMC) Volkswagon Scirocco R-Cup initiative whereby female drivers from around the world have the chance to be offered a full-time drive in the 2014 Volkswagon Scirocco R Cup season, in either Junior Cup or Pro Cup.
National Sporting Authorities for motorsport worldwide – including the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS) here in Australia – are being asked to nominate a candidate, in which 10-12 of the best put forward will be invited to an exclusive Evaluation Day to be held on the 7th and 8th of November this year at Oschersleben in Germany. The evaluation event will include theoretical lessons, media training, guided driving with instructors and several free driving sessions with timed laps.
Female karters and/or circuit racers born between the 1st of January 1989 and the 31st of December 1997, and who have shown exceptional results over the past 3 years, are invited to apply for this exciting opportunity. The best candidate, as selected by WAMS, will be nominated to the FIA.
All applications must be received by WAMS by close of business Friday 11th October 2013, with the successful applicant then notified by 22nd October 2013.
