The Speak Up For Sport team is proud to sponsor the Women of Australian Motor Sport Junior Development Scholarship.
The new scholarship offers a lucky young female racer the opportunity to undertake a comprehensive program designed to assist with career development in all aspects of being a top competitor in motor sport.
The scholarship will run for one year and will include a test in a car from a category further up the ladder, setting up networking opportunities, fitness coaching, sports psychology driver coaching and intensive media training and coaching via Speak Up For Sport.
I am very excited to be involved with the Women of Australian Motorsport scholarship program. The lucky winner will receive personal coaching throughout the term of the scholarship thereby receiving extremely valuable personal and professional skills. Karen Smythe, Speak Up for Sport says.
Many young athletes are great at their chosen sport but have not had the opportunity to learn the skills required to be a professional off the track. The team at The Vibrant Edge realises just how important these skills are for young athletes and we have developed Speak Up For Sport especially for sportspeople.
Speak Up For Sport is divided into four topics:
- Media Interviews for Sport
- Public Speaking for Sport
- Sponsorship for Sport
- Social Media for Sport
Athletes will learn how to answer the questions posed in a media interview or present a simple speech after an event or a more complex speech for a function; learn how to find a sponsor and create a good relationship with them and navigate the social media mine field to protect their reputation in their sport.
Athletes can learn the new skills at their own pace in their own home through our online training program. Speak Up For Sport also provide coaching for individuals (online, phone or face to face) and face to face training for groups.
You can commence your Speak Up For Sport training today by visiting their website ? www.speakupforsport.com, their Facebook page (Speak Up For Sport) or follow us on Twitter (@speakupforsport). If you would like more information, please don
